Rehaluk's Contracting

Who you are hiring

A skid steer, a dump trailer, and a reputation to build

Two generations of Rehaluks, working out of Yorkton. Here is how the outfit came together.

Where it started

Lawrence Rehaluk began contracting in 2008 with a skid steer, a few attachments and a dump trailer. The work was whatever the yard and the neighbours needed doing — and it grew from there on the strength of jobs finished properly.

David joins the outfit

In 2013 David Rehaluk came into the business as an experienced framer, equipment operator and tree faller. That second set of hands is what let the company take on the taller, heavier work: bucket trucks, crane trucks, stump grinders and trenchers now all run out of the same yard.

Keeping the tradition of quality

The homestead west of Preeceville where Lawrence's mother was born on January 1, 1911 is the family's reference point for how a building should be put up: workmanship worth copying, meant to outlast the people who did the work.

What that means for your job

You deal with the people doing the work. There is no dispatcher, no subcontracted crew you have never met, and no surprise on the invoice. The business has been running since 2008, 18 years now, and owns its own equipment, so most projects can be handled start to finish by one outfit.

The family behind the work

Still a family outfit

Lawrence started the business in 2008; David joined in 2013 and now runs the taller, heavier work. The people who quote your job are the people who show up to do it — no dispatcher, no subcontracted crew you have never met.

The old family homestead west of Preeceville, pictured below, is still the benchmark for how the work should be done: built to outlast the people who put it up.
